What is PMU?

PMU is AKA Permanent Makeup, Permanent Cosmetics, or brow tattoo. The service includes implantation of pigment into the top layer of the skin with a machine and needle or handheld tool. Results last 1-3 years depending on skin type. Technique used will vary with skin type as well.

How Long Does PMU Last?

The results often last from 1-3 years. This depends on how well you maintain your brows. Refreshers are recommended every 1-2 years to boost the color of your lightened PMU Brows.

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a modern form of permanent cosmetics in which the artist uses a hand held tool to manually create hyper-realistic hair strokes. While microblading is a permanent service, results typically last 1-2 years depending on skin type and aftercare compliance. Microblading is not compatible with oily skin.

What is Machine Shading?

Machine Shading (aka microshading, ombre brows, or powder brows) is a form of permanent cosmetics in which the artist uses a machine + needle to create micropixels for a soft powder look. While shading is a permanent service, results typically last 1-3 years depending on skin type and aftercare compliance. Shading is compatible with ALL skin types including oily skin.

What is a Refresher?

As your skin regenerates over time, the color will lighten and fade gradually. Refreshers are color boost for faded PMU. They are recommended every 1-2 years. (ONLY available to current clients who have had their initial session with Baylen).

How Long is Recovery?

Recovery time is 1-2 weeks. However, there is a 4 week process for complete healing. A 4-8 week touch up is included with your initial session to ensure results. Recovery time may be extended 1 week after 4-6 week touch up session.
